COLLEGE FOOTBALL DAILY REPORT : USC : McCullough Leading Junior College Team
- Share via
Saladin McCullough, the All-CIF running back from Pasadena Muir High who in 1993 signed a letter of intent to attend USC, is lighting up junior college football for Pasadena City College.
After two games, his coach, Dennis Gossard, said of him Monday: “There is no better runner in college football, at any level, than this kid. He’s a great back, he’s going to get better and he still wants to play for SC.”
McCullough, 5-9 and 175 pounds, has more than 500 yards total offense in two games. Saturday against Golden West he had 255 combined yards. He also had a 70-yard touchdown run called back.
McCullough sat out last year while his Scholastic Aptitude Test score was challenged. He lost his case in arbitration.
