In nonconference women’s volleyball:
Golden West 3, Santa Barbara 0--Vanessa Dahl had five kills and Erin Jones added four kills to lead visiting Golden West, 15-5, 15-2, 15-7. Golden West improved to 2-0.
In the Bakersfield women’s Soccerfest:
Cypress 2, Palomar 0; Cypress 3, American River 0--Pam Prine scored on a header off a corner kick against American River for Cypress (6-0).
In the East Los Angeles men’s soccer tournament:
Orange Coast 3, Canada 2--Athanasios Koubouras scored two goals and Luciano DeLeon added one to lead Orange Coast (2-0-1).
In the Oxnard men’s soccer tournament:
Fullerton 3, Oxnard 1--Kyle Mears scored two goals and D.J. Buckley added one to lead Fullerton (2-2-1) in pool play. In an earlier game, Buckley scored one goal in the Hornets’ 2-1 loss to Hancock.
In nonconference men’s soccer:
Golden West 1, Southwestern 0--Steve Abend scored one goal to lead host Golden West (2-2).
In the finals of the Cuesta water polo tournament:
Long Beach 10, Golden West 7--John Chomin scored three goals for Golden West (8-1) in the championship game.
