OUTLOOK
Steve Bolton, now Takahashi’s assistant, set the foundation with a second-place finish last season. Now it’s Takahashi’s job to finish what Bolton started. The ingredients are there for another run at the league title as most key players are back. The biggest key figures to be Tuato (1,250 yards, 52.4%, nine touchdowns), an all-league player who figures to improve on last year’s solid season. Tuato will have an experienced line protecting him and a burner in Fausto running through holes, but he will be throwing to a new group of receivers. The Lobos’ defense should be strong, especially in the secondary, where three of four starters return.
