Surfing Into 30th Year: Surfing magazine marks its 30th anniversary next year, having published its first issue in December, 1964.
To celebrate, it is planning three special collectors’ editions. In March, it will publish “30 epic photos” chosen by a panel of world-renowned surfers. In August come the “30 greatest moments in surfing history.” And November will witness a description of the “30 biggest waves ever ridden.”
San Clemente-based Surfing calls the November edition “a jaw-dropping tribute to guts and glory.” Dude!
