Miller Brewing to Cut Hundreds of Jobs: Nationwide, the country’s second-largest brewer will eliminate 1,200 jobs, about 13% of its work force, as part of parent corporation Philip Morris’ decision to trim 16,800 workers over the next three years. Miller is closing its brewery in Fulton, N.Y., next year, eliminating 900 jobs. Miller’s corporate headquarters in Milwaukee is losing about 150 jobs, with the remaining job cuts scattered at six other plants across the country, including Irwindale.
