Valley Pays More Than Its Share
You reported (April 25) that the Valley is policed by 1.1 officers per 1,000 residents and the city of Los Angeles is policed by 2.2 officers per 1,000 residents.
In the same issue your editorial condemned Valley voters for not being willing to pay for additional officers after the tally of votes on Proposition 1. The Valley taxpayers pay more than their share of taxes already and do not wish to pay the bill for more officers to police the inner city.
