Junior college All-American Karleen Shields, a 5-foot-7 guard who was the top-scoring player in college, male or female, last season with an average of 42.2 points per game at Contra Costa College in San Pablo, Calif., has signed a letter of intent with USC, Coach Marianne Stanley announced.
