Herricanes Advance to Soccer Semifinals

The Mission Viejo Herricanes advanced to the semifinals by defeating the Dallas Sting, 2-0, in the under-19 division of the Dallas Cup XIV girls’ soccer tournament Friday in Dallas.
Erin Down, scored the first goal off an assist by Kim Campbell midway through the first half. Campbell scored off an assist by Amber Escobedo late in the second half for the Herricanes.
Goalkeeper Traci Jensen had three saves for the Herricanes, who are 3-0-1 in the tournament.
