Star Quarterback: Miami Dolphins quarterback Dan Marino didn’t pass up a feature-film cameo appearance in Morgan Creek’s “Ace Ventura: Pet Detective.” The film, starring Jim Carrey of “In Living Color,” will be shot this spring in Miami, where Marino has become a premier quarterback since being drafted in 1983. The movie involves the “kidnaping” of Marino and the Dolphins’ mascot, a field-goal kicking dolphin named Snowflake. Detective Ace Ventura is called in to save the day and a possible Super Bowl championship for the Dolphins.
