In Garden Grove League softball:
Garden Grove 12, Los Amigos 1 (5 innings, mercy rule)--Mandy Mendoza went four for four for Garden Grove (11-3, 4-1), which scored seven times in the first inning.
Kennedy 5, Bolsa Grande 0--Lisa Pitt pitched a no-hitter with eight strikeouts for visiting Kennedy (9-2, 4-1).
Pacifica 7, Santiago 5--Amy Smith hit a two-run single in the sixth to break a 5-5 tie for host Pacifica (9-5, 4-1). Andrea Pickett hit a bases-loaded triple in the second. Santiago is 3-2 in league.
In the Academy League:
St. Margaret’s 6, California Lutheran 1--Monica Arrena gave up three hits and struck out eight for St. Margaret’s. California Lutheran is 5-1, 0-1.
In the Olympic League:
Calvary Chapel 19, Orange Lutheran 7 (5, mercy)--Amanda Mahlow had two hits, three walks, and five runs scored for visiting Calvary Chapel (3-11, 2-1).
Brethren Christian 11, Ontario Christian 2--Reanna Mendoza had four hits and Michelle Rueter, Brook Hofstetter and Stephanie Stanford had three hits each for visiting Brethren Christian (6-6, 3-1), which had 19 hits.
In the Sea View League:
Woodbridge 7, Newport Harbor 0--Corey Washington pitched a three-hitter and Courtney Spelber and Teresa Dunn each had three hits for Woodbridge (9-4, 3-1). Newport Harbor fell to 8-5, 2-2.
Irvine 2, Santa Margarita 0--Rebecca Smith pitched a three-hitter to earn her eighth victory for visiting Irvine.
Tustin 5, Corona del Mar 2--Erin Hayes and Shawna Bray combined on a no-hitter and Dana Gorman had two RBIs for host Tustin (7-6, 3-1). Corona del Mar is 0-4 in league.
In the Sunset League:
Huntington Beach 3, Westminster 2--Nicole Kreigel went two for three and scored two runs for Huntington Beach (4-6, 1-2).
In nonleague softball:
Savanna 4, Canyon 1--Cindy Zaleski’s second-inning triple drove in two runs to give Savanna a 3-0 lead. Savanna improved to 2-6-1; Canyon is 9-7.
Brea-Olinda 2, Sunny Hills 1 (8)--Senior Stephanie Carew hit a home run in the eighth inning to give Brea-Olinda the victory. Carew singled in Samantha Cardenas in the first inning to open the scoring.
El Dorado 11, Fullerton 1--Karen Barnes hit a three-run double in a six-run run third for host El Dorado (9-3), and teammate Erin Brink added three hits and two runs scored. Fullerton is 5-6.
El Toro 3, Trabuco Hills 0--Jodi Smith pitched a one-hitter for El Toro (10-4). Smith had a no-hitter with one out in the last inning, when Brianna Burkman singled for Trabuco Hills (2-7).
Orange 12, Century 1--Carie Habhab had two hits and four RBIs for visiting Orange (8-2).
