Police Officers’ Perilous Task

The savage attacks and slayings of local policemen are grievous and tragic events that torture one’s peace of mind.

Brutality against the police must be reduced if the epidemic of widespread violence in America is to be checked.

The answer is not gun control or federal involvement because a disarmed citizenry and a federal police force are the pillars of a totalitarian state. The answer is for police to have strong support from the community and to be entirely funded/controlled by local city/county governments.
