Tiger Sales Roaring Along: Asics Tiger Corp. reported record revenue for 1992 and said that it hopes to double sales of its sportswear within three years. The privately held company reported Wednesday that it had 1992 revenue of $245 million, a 32% increase. The Fountain Valley-based company, which makes athletic footwear and apparel, did not release earnings data. New marketing and manufacturing strategies could boost sales to $570 million by 1996, the company said, citing an aggressive TV advertising campaign, retail promotions and a strengthening of its field representation.
