New Firms Featured: The Orange County Venture Network, a nonprofit support organization for start-up companies, will feature four fledgling enterprises at its annual CEO Business Plan Presentation next month.
For the past three years, Irvine-based Venture Network has selected a handful of new companies to show off their wares and business plans to prospective investors.
This year’s picks: TRI Technologies in Costa Mesa, which makes a patented lens for flashlights; Alipresus Inc. in Irvine, a developer of technologies to replace aerosol cans; So-Cal Orthopedics in Corona, which rents home therapy machinery, and Promenity Inc. in Long Beach, a skin-care product manufacturer.
“We had to choose from a lot of good candidates,” said Paul X. Tobin, a Newport Beach attorney who chairs this year’s forum.
The forum will be on April 22 from 6 to 9 p.m. at UCI’s University Club. Admission charge is $25 for Venture Network members and $35 for non-members.
