Daly to Play Koresh in NBC Siege Movie

Tim Daly, who plays Joe Hackett on the comedy series “Wings,” has been signed to play cult leader David Koresh in NBC’s TV movie about the siege at his compound in Waco, Tex.

Although the film was begun before the end of the story is known, producer Kenneth Kaufman said that the intention of “In the Line of Duty: Assault in Waco” is to focus on the initial assault by law enforcement officers, in which four federal agents were killed.
