L’Ermitage to Close for Six Months: The new owners of the posh L’Ermitage Hotel in Beverly Hills will close the facility later this week to make repairs, throwing about 100 employees out of work. Pittsburgh-based Interstate Hotels Corp., which has been the interim manager for the hotel since it was purchased by a private partnership known as La Hotel Properties Inc. in December, said the 112-unit complex will be closed for about six months and that most of the on-site employees will be terminated Friday. The renovation job, valued at more than $10 million, will include roof repairs, remodeling of some guest suites and the construction of a small business center and health club on the site.
