A New Priority: Ice-T appears headed for independent Priority Records, and his “Home Invasion” album could be in stores within two weeks. Representatives of both the rapper and the Los Angeles independent label--the home of controversial rap acts N.W.A. and Ice Cube--confirm that discussions have been under way since Ice-T was released from his Warner Bros. Records contract last week over what was described as “artistic differences.” Ice-T’s recording “Cop Killer” caused a nationwide protest last summer.
