Geffen Records vs. Henley: Geffen Records is suing Don Henley for $30 million, claiming breach of contract. The suit, filed in L.A. Superior Court, comes after the singer sent a notice of termination to the company in December and asks for an injunction preventing him from releasing records through any other label. Henley’s attorney, John Branca, said Friday that he had not yet seen the suit and could not yet make a formal reply. Since signing the current deal in 1988, Henley has recorded only one album for Geffen and has discussed in interviews his strained relationship with the company. Geffen representatives would not comment.
