BEVERLY HILLS : Man Accused of Posing as Shopper for Mia Farrow

A hoaxer caught posing as Elizabeth Taylor’s lover in 1990 is now charged with trying to steal $10,050 in goods by passing himself off as Mia Farrow’s personal shopper in a Rodeo Drive clothing store.
Julian Lee Hobbs, 26, also known as Rory Emerald, pleaded innocent in Municipal Court this week to felony grand theft and burglary charges related to the illicit shopping spree.
“We have lots of big-time scams in Beverly Hills, but this is the first time I’ve heard of this being used,” said William Clark, a Los Angeles County deputy district attorney.
A preliminary hearing was scheduled for Feb. 4
