Jeff Gordon earned his 11th pole position in NASCAR’s Grand National Series at Rockingham, N.C., setting a record for the most poles in a season. Gordon claimed the pole for Saturday’s AC-Delco 200 at the 1.017-mile North Carolina Motor Speedway. Kyle Petty earned a record fourth consecutive pole position in first-round qualifying for Sunday’s AC-Delco 500.
