SAN DIEGO : Car Strikes, Kills Man on Interstate 5

A car traveling north on Interstate 5 on Thursday struck and killed a man who was walking back to his own disabled vehicle after using a call box on the side of the road.
The accident occurred shortly after 7 p.m. near the junction of Interstates 5 and 805. The name of the victim was being withheld late Thursday pending notification of relatives. No other details were available.
