Lancaster Transient Is Hit, Killed by Car

A 64-year-old Lancaster transient died after being struck by a car, authorities said Saturday.
The man, whose identity was withheld pending notification of relatives, was walking north on Division Street at Avenue H-4 when he was hit about 10:20 p.m. Friday by a car traveling about 35 m.p.h., Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Sgt. Gus Risinger said. The man died at the scene.
The driver, Helen Lynch, 68, of Boron, was not injured, Risinger said. No citation was issued, and an investigation is continuing.
