Cornerback Todd Lyght, who had two interceptions and nine tackles in Sunday’s victory over the New England Patriots, was named NFC defensive player of the week.
“I thought Todd Lyght had an outstanding game . . . made some big plays,” Knox said Wednesday. “You take two interceptions, nine tackles, and made some great plays on balls that he knocked down--outstanding plays.”
Sean Gilbert, the team’s No. 1 draft pick, was held out of contact during Wednesday’s practice after injuring his left ankle Sunday, but he is listed as probable for Sunday. Tight end Jim Price (shoulder) is questionable and free safety Pat Terrell (neck), who missed last week’s game, has been upgraded to probable.
