South El Monte : ‘No Stop’ Limits Opposed
- Share via
Ronde Winkler, co-president of the South El Monte Business Council, has urged the City Council to oppose a county proposal for “no stopping” restrictions on Garvey Avenue.
The restrictions would be from 6 to 9 a.m. on the north side and from 3 to 6:30 p.m. on the south side of Garvey between Rosemead Boulevard and Durfee Avenue. The plan would make a third lane available for traffic during peak periods to relieve congestion.
Winkler said council members should visit business owners along Garvey, most of whom are against the plan.
The council is scheduled to vote on the plan in the next month.
