VIDEO VIEW: Michael Jackson’s advisers might want to talk to the Swedish band Electric Boys about video finances. Where the “Dangerous” one spent a reported $4 million on a recent video, the hard-rockers claim to have made their new video for $18.95. Much of the clip, for the song “Dying to Be Loved,” was shot at one of those do-it-yourself video booths on the Universal Studios tour.
It seems the group had done a video there as a joke three years ago, lip-syncing (appropriately enough) to a Milli Vanilli song. When Atco hesitated to commit to making a video for the new song, the group decided to go back to Universal and do one itself. If the economy doesn’t improve, this could become a trend.
