Two Simi Valley men have been arrested on suspicion of staging a robbery at a Simi Valley convenience story after one of the suspected robbers returned to rob the store again, police said Saturday.
On Friday afternoon, police answered a robbery call at the AM PM store on Tapo Street. Police said they arrested John Rodela, 39, of Simi Valley, after the store clerk identified him as a suspect.
Police suspect Rodela was involved in a staged robbery on July 23 with the aid of John Devine, 31, another clerk at the store.
Rodela and Devine on Saturday were being held at Ventura County Jail on suspicion of robbery and conspiracy. They are scheduled for arraignment Tuesday, a county sheriff’s deputy said.
