Glendale police arrested a gunman Friday after he held two women and a baby in an apartment for 3 1/2 hours, officials said.
Wilfredo Landaverde, 30, of Panorama City fired three shots while in the apartment but no one was injured, police said.
Landaverde apparently went to the apartment at 1017 Western Ave. late Thursday and got into an argument with one of the women, with whom he previously had a romantic relationship, investigators said.
Officers sent to investigate reports of gunshots surrounded the apartment building and evacuated the other tenants, police said. After lengthy negotiations, Landaverde released the hostages and surrendered a few minutes later, authorities said.
Landaverde was booked on suspicion of attempted murder. The hostages have not been identified.
