California’s Budget Crisis
Gov. Pete Wilson and the California Legislature have demonstrated by their handling of the budget crisis a distinct inability to do their jobs. I say let’s fire them. I can think of no better reward for their incompetence.
For those legislators standing for election in November, I would suggest we vote them out. Not one incumbent should be returned to continue these sorts of shenanigans.
And although Wilson still has a while to go on his term in office, as California voters we do have a recourse: recall. I don’t think we can afford to let him finish his elected term. And frankly, we shouldn’t have that sort of patience.
