A 29-year-old San Diego woman died early Tuesday when her car crossed over an oncoming traffic lane and struck a tree.
Irene S. Dorian was speeding when she careened out of control in the 18000 Block of West Bernardo Drive, Police Department spokesman Bill Robinson said. The accident occurred about 4:35 a.m.
Dorian’s death was the 44th on city streets this year and the fourth in three days, Robinson said. Last year at this time, there had been 52 traffic deaths on city streets.
