Verteq Settles Lawsuit: Verteq Process Systems Inc. said Tuesday that it has settled a patent-infringement lawsuit with Semitool Inc., a competitor in Kalispell, Mont.
Verteq, an Anaheim-based maker of cleaning equipment for semiconductor chips, said the suit was settled June 19. Terms were not disclosed, but Semitool agreed to change one of its designs for a kind of seal for a cleaning chamber.
The suit was filed in federal court in Los Angeles in 1989.
