Revolving Divas: Judy Kaye, who won a Tony Award as the original Carlotta in the Broadway production of “Phantom of the Opera,” will be playing the role at the Ahmanson Theatre for six weeks starting Sept. 7. She will take over for Leigh Munro, who has been performing Carlotta, the operatic diva, since “Phantom” opened at the Ahmanson in 1989. Munro is going on leave to return to her home company, the New York City Opera, to star in an opera version of “The Little Foxes.” Kaye will be arriving in Los Angeles after a summer season with the Santa Fe Opera.
