COSTA MESA — Orange Coast College’s Norman E. Watson Library has received a $20,000 gift in memory of its first librarian, Beth Cosner Brown, who died recently.
The endowment was presented to the college by Brown’s husband, former OCC history professor Giles T. Brown. The Browns were charter faculty members of the college in 1948.
Giles Brown requested that the money be used to start an endowment to annually provide the library with new books, magazines and tapes.
