Reclaiming GOP Reins

I’d like to congratulate Ventura County Republicans for taking back their political organizations from Operation Rescue and its umbrella, the Pro-Family Caucus. You had the good sense to understand not only the threat to women’s lives that this so-called “pro-life” group intends, but also the lives that these extremists’ terrorism and intolerance represent to the credibility of the terms “Republican” and “Christian.”

You deserve a big round of applause from all thinking members of this community for proving that Ventura County is still a place where individual freedom of conscience is respected and protected, and where reason--and reasonable people--prevail over ignorance and deceit.
