A Chatsworth-based metals dealer, Max Scrap Metals Inc., has opened a new branch in Oxnard, taking over a location formerly used by a company that is leaving the state.
The new branch, to operate as California Public Recycling, replaces Resource Recycling, which is moving to Alabama. The new location is the third for Max Scrap Metals, which has yards in Chatsworth and Van Nuys, according to Robert Bushman, vice president of California Public. Bushman said he expects to hire 12 to 15 employees at the Oxnard site within six months.
Told Partners Inc. represented Resource in selling the Rice Road property to its new occupant.
