The NCAA awarded Stanford the at-large berth to the final four for winning the Western Intercollegiate Volleyball Assn. tournament.
The final four will begin Friday at Ball State in Muncie, Ind. Pepperdine (22-4), the WIVA champion, was seeded No. 1 and will play fourth-seeded Penn State (16-12) at 2:30 p.m. PDT Friday. Stanford (23-3) was seeded second and will play Indiana Purdue-Ft. Wayne (27-7) at 4:30 p.m.
