Candy Maker Offers Rebates: Mars Inc. is offering a nickel back for every pack of candy it sells. The unlimited nickel rebate, which surprised analysts, was announced together with a wholesale price cut of as much as 11% on Mars’ “family-size” M&M; packs. The rebate program, which will run through Oct. 15, is aimed largely at schools, youth sports leagues, church groups and others interested in raising funds. Mars will accept wrappers from any of its candy products--including Milky Way bars, Skittles, Snickers and 3 Musketeers bars. Wrappers must be returned in bundles of 20, with each bundle to be redeemed for $1.
