SHOOTOUT: It’s a night that former Fullerton police officer Cecil Reece won’t forget--a robber spraying him with shotgun pellets. He returned fire and killed the man. Tonight at 9 on CBS, the TV show “Top Cops” re-creates the July, 1980, drama. . . . Now a district attorney’s investigator, Reece says the program will show viewers “the dangers police face on a daily basis.” The shootout began when Reece interrupted a robbery and was hit by shotgun fire. Backup police captured the dead robber’s companion, who was convicted and jailed for nine years.
