Height Rule Rejected for Short Man’s Jury

HOUSTON — A judge turned down a request to make sure there are short people in the jury pool for the murder trial of a 4-foot-6 man.
Jeffrey Leibengood, 25, is accused of fatally shooting his grandfather. Defense lawyer John Carrigan had asked that the 50 prospective jurors include some who are five feet tall or less.
