Furon Co. has sold its Reynolds & Taylor Inc. aerospace division in Santa Ana for an undisclosed price.
The Laguna Niguel manufacturer of industrial plastics said Tuesday that it sold the 65-employee division to Reinhold Industries Inc., a Santa Fe Springs aerospace firm and a division of New York-based Keene Corp.
J. Michael Hagan, Furon’s chief executive, said the sale is the first of six divisions that the company has put up for sale as part of its effort to concentrate on its core business.
Reynolds & Taylor manufactures composite aerospace parts such as nose cones for aircraft. Reinhold President Michael Furry said all Reynolds & Taylor employees would be offered jobs after the sale.
The six businesses up for sale, which had combined revenue of about $42 million, are expected to report a pretax loss this year.
