Gas Price Is 26 Cents Below Last Year’s: Holiday motorists will pay an average of 26 cents a gallon less for gasoline than a year ago, the American Automobile Assn. reported. The national average price of self-service, regular unleaded gasoline was $1.108 per gallon for the week ending Tuesday, compared to $1.371 just before Christmas of 1990, AAA said. The week’s price was half a cent lower than last week’s.
