Little Tramp on Hold: An Israeli court in Jerusalem ordered the state-run lottery Wednesday to stop using Charlie Chaplin’s “Little Tramp” image in advertisements until a suit on alleged copyright violation is heard. Lawyers for owners of the film comedian’s trademark character claim the lottery used the image without permission. Because of a backlog of cases, the court will not hear the copyright suit until mid-1994.
