HARRY SHEARER

I regret that Harry Shearer has seen fit to mock the current “trend” of celebrities who have chosen to recover and celebrate their survival of dysfunctional childhoods (“Tell Me Less,” Nov. 3). Their revelation of the past can only be considered an extremely painful but essential passage to a healthier, far saner place in their lives.
It costs a lot to heal, and these celebrities and countless others have paid a very dear price for this process. It might be better not to condemn, and wiser to have compassion for these victims.
