Doing Something About Gang Crime
It is extremely frustrating to hear continual criticism about the existing gang and drug problem in the city of Santa Ana. People should make themselves as part of the solution and become active in community programs that provide alternatives for our children.
I am proud to work for the city of Santa Ana in a gang and drug prevention program, Project PRIDE, whose goal is to keep youngsters off drugs and (out of) gangs and to develop potential leaders of tomorrow. So far, the program has helped hundreds of children who have greatly benefited, thanks to Allen E. Dolby, executive recreation director, and many other dedicated supporters who make this program possible.
