THQ Inc. named Howard Phillips as vice president for software development at the Calabasas-based toy company, whose products include game cartridges for the Nintendo home video-game systems.
Phillips previously was creative director for Lucasfilm Games, and earlier was creative game director at Nintendo, where he worked for 11 years.
