Irvine Wins, 81-49

Senior guard Gerald McDonald scored 16 points as UC Irvine defeated the Trencin club of Czechoslovakia, 81-49, in a basketball exhibition Tuesday night.
Craig Marshall scored 14 points and David Hollaway added 13 for Irvine. Josef Durcek led Trencin with 20 points and 11 rebounds.
UCI’s exhibition record is 2-0. Trencin remains winless after seven games in California.
