PREP FOOTBALL ROUNDUP : Orange Lutheran Gets First League Victory

Orange Lutheran won its first Olympic League game of the season, 28-0, over Ontario Christian Friday night at Ontario Christian High.
Quarterback Lenny Gavin threw for two touchdowns and ran for another for Orange Lutheran (3-7, 1-4). Ontario Christian fell to 0-10 and 0-5.
On Orange Lutheran’s opening drive, Corey Fleming caught a 47-yard touchdown pass from Gavin to help put the Lancers up, 7-0.
Although the Orange Lutheran offense went scoreless for the next 2 1/2 quarters, the Lancers’ defense held Ontario Christian in check, limiting the Knights to 131 total yards.
Dan Peters scored on a four-yard run to open Orange Lutheran’s 21-point fourth quarter, then Gavin found Fleming again, this time for a 62-yard touchdown pass to make it 21-0. Fleming finished the game with three receptions for 123 yards.
In an Arrowhead League game:
Leffingwell Christian 20, Capistrano Valley Christian 12--Chris Wegener scored two touchdownsand rushed for 262 yards on 30 carries for host Capistrano Valley Christian (3-6, 3-3).
