Photographer’s Vision Affected Classmates

I enjoyed reading about Matthew Rolston’s photography (“Guardian of Glamour,” Oct. 22).

He and I were ninth-graders together at Bancroft Junior High in Hollywood more than 20 years ago. One day he said my eyebrows were too bushy, so I went home and plucked out all but a thin line.

Even back then Matt’s vision and honesty affected people.
