A misdemeanor weapons charge against Antoine Carr, formerly with the Sacramento Kings, was dismissed because the prosecution and defense agreed to drop the case.
Carr, who plays for the San Antonio Spurs, was on his way to San Diego for a charity basketball game on Aug. 3 when security officers at Sacramento Metropolitan Airport found a .22-caliber semiautomatic pistol in his bag. Carr was charged with carrying a concealed firearm without a permit.
