Dan F. Smith and Michael E. Wiley have been elected vice presidents of Atlantic Richfield Co.
Smith, 45, will serve as vice president of corporate planning, based in Los Angeles. Wiley, 40, will serve as vice president of the company’s new Exploration and Production Technology group, headquartered in Plano, Tex.
Smith joined the Los Angeles oil company in 1968 and has held a number of positions in engineering, operations and planning, primarily in the petrochemical area.
Smith succeeds Steven J. Shapiro, who was named president of Arco Coal Australia Inc.
Wiley joined Arco in 1972 and has held positions in engineering, operations and planning with the company’s domestic and international oil and gas divisions.
