Responding to Reynolds: Latino leaders, outraged by what they call “demeaning and insulting” comments from actress Debbie Reynolds, have responded by mounting a nationwide campaign against her. The controversy arose when Reynolds, keynote speaker at a Fresno women’s conference last month, was asked what advice she had for Latino women. “I believe there’s a lot of work in domestic work that enables you to make a good salary,” she told a Spanish-language TV station. But Margie Duncan, an assistant for Reynolds, said the comments are being blown out of proportion.
