COMMUNITY COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Cypress Starts Fast, Beats Chaffey in Water Polo

After taking a large lead, Cypress College cruised to a 11-9 victory over Chaffey in a nonconference water polo game Wednesday at Cypress.
Ray Schwengel scored three goals for Cypress (11-2), which had a 9-3 lead after three quarters.
In nonconference women’s volleyball:
Orange Coast 3, El Camino 0--Reiko Matsumoto had nine kills and Kit Spath had eight for visiting Orange Coast (4-0).
Cypress 3, MiraCosta 0--Esther Arbiso had 10 kills for Cypress (7-1)
